This remarkable museum, which is housed in a turn-of-the-century spinning mill, commemorates the area's long industrial history, particularly its involvement with wool, machinery, steam engines, and horses. Outside, the Mill Yard bustles with horse rides, activities, and labor exhibits that recall a bygone era. Nearby Moorside House is the home of the first mill-owner, John Moore, and remains adorned with period furnishings.   (© 10Best)
