This cream-colored brick building is often the site of campus festivities. A cavernous interior of brick and rough pine, punctuated with beer memorabilia and UK artifacts, hints at the casual atmosphere, and a back deck, several bars, and sidewalk seating make sure everyone's got a place. On any given night, folks congregate for everything from live bands to comedy night, televised sports events, a few rounds of pool, tasty pub fare, and even pep rallies for the Horsemen (Lexington's arena football home team). A brief walk from campus guarantees Two Keys' enduring popularity, which is essentially legend anyway.

Over zealous bouncers can ruin experience
Two Keys is perhaps the most over-rated college bar in Lexington. Catering to a largely undergrad (which is fine) and underage (not so fine) audience, the bar staff and bouncers operate as though they're operating an exclusive club, as they kick people out on a whim.
After a drunk patron tried to pick a fight with my friend, who was trying to pass by on the overcrowded patio, my friend and I were forcefully removed from the premises by the bouncers, two of whom made numerous threats. As one nearly pushed me over, I grabbed onto his arms. He said, "Don't touch my arms or I'll really f**k you up." The bouncers offered no explanation for escorting us off the premises, and they joked about it with the person who originally tried to provoke a fight. Ryan McGuffin, an on duty Two Keys manager, stood and watched as his bounce staff made threats and used excessive force, but he was unwilling to answer questions.
Don't go here. They'll take your cover and then kick you out.

The bar was OK at best... I attended Two Keys on a thursday night with a few of my friends. A guy was at the bar, who is a true freshman quarterback for uk which means he is obviously under 21. I was asked to leave the bar by a bouncer after stepping outside with a friend of mine to smoke a cigarette. he told me, " the lead bouncer says you are too drunk and says you need to leave." when i asked who the lead bouncer was, i was told he didnt know and he said i stumbled when leaving the bathroom. I was a customer of two keys from 11 till 1 and i only had four drinks. this bar is overrated and the staff is terrible.
