A bright blue exterior and awnings announce the presence of this dance club, which regales patrons with music from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and today. Great lighting and a kicking sound system promise a fun experience, and three full bars easily accommodate folks who need a little something to quench the thirst. A VIP room is available for those who want added privacy and attention, and private parties can be arranged. On the second Friday of each month, The Moon hosts an all-male review.

OK, It's early 01/08. Blue was OK. I enjoy the variety of music, except for the undanceable rock music. But frankly was hoping it was going to better and nicer than when I went there 4-5 years. It was very much the same. Well, I don't know how long the alleged work has been going, but it wasn't real apparent. Other than the Papparrazi signage around the place. the same nasty looking cheap carpet is still on the floor. The "smoking area" off the dance floor is a element exposed concrete area. We had the opportunity to check the VIP area. Not impressed. It seems a bit dirty. They allow smoking, and it didn't seem to well ventilated for such. There were a couple Styrofoam bowls of some snack mix sitting around. Many empty tables had RESERVED by Management on them. And the bathrooms. The only improvement made there was to add an unlit mirror and counter as you enter. The floors were black around the edge. Very obviously not cleaned well. And instead of replacing the door closures they rigged it with some wood so they could just add really cheap sliding locks. The stalls have needed to be replaced for over 8 years. I think it's way overdue. I was disappoint to see they removed the stage. And what's up with so many staff people in black attire standing around in the front lobby area? As if some celeb is coming. Paaalease.
Despite the what I stated above, we made the best of it and had a decent time. I just hope someday BlueMoon will have a more mature, updated, and cleaner look and feel about it.

Same experience here. Very little 80s, YMCA the only song for the 70s, and absolutely no 60s. Is there a particular night to go for the 60s-80s music?
