8. Portofino

Outstanding!!!!

I have been dining at Portofino for the last 5 years. My favorites are the ravioli with garlic sage butter, goat cheese and apple walnut salad, and the bruschetta with gorgonzola cheese. There is no better food or wine list in town. I love this place!

Consistently outstanding food, innovative and excellent service and ambience.

I have been enjoying Portofino ever since I worked there in 2000. Now we dine there regularly. What makes Portofino stand out is its consistency; it is consistently excellent. I have had a so-so server a few times, and that is the only thing I can say that is negative about this restaurant. Get a good server (and there are those who have been here for years, which speaks volumes), and you will always have an enjoyable time. If you're ever in doubt when you want to entertain guests, take them to Portofino. There is something for everyone; the atmosphere is gracefully casual; and the wine and liquor lists are superb.
