7. Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Giuseppe's this past Monday. The food was excellent. Our server, I think his name was Ben, was very attentive. This was my first time dining at Giuseppe's on a Monday. Our bottle of wine was half price, as was our appetizer. I usually go on Friday to listen to Dave Hall. But, I believe there is a good reason to go any day of the week.

Went there, and like so many others, were terribly disappointed with food, service and especially the prices for all that crap. It's not even real Italian (my wife and I have been to Italy more than once). The cooks from this place would be arrested at the Italian border for overcooking simple pasta... I'd say fast-food Fazolis is more authentic than Giuseppe's, even ambiance-wise, for 1/3 the price.

My husband and I just celebrated our third anniversary at Giuseppe's and it was the VERY BEST!! The sea bass, scallops and steak were the BOMB! We have celebrated each anniversary with the great staff and our wonderful hostess/waitress couldn't have been any nicer. A lovely lady that gave us our dessert for free, you can't get any better than that. Connie Bell, Frankfort, KY.

I think that giuseppes is one of the best restaurants in lexington and probably the best italian. I am Italian and I find the previous comment to be false. While some of the dishes might not be completely authentic the taste is still wonderful. If this is the food they serve to prisoners in Italy then send me there. I have dined all over the world and all over Lexington and I think that Giuseppes is truly a great restaurant. The food is fresh and made to order. The sauces are made from scratch and the food is very consistent. I have been a loyal customer for many years and believe that there is a reason why they just celebrated there 15th aniversary and not to mention they are always busy even when others are not.

Take it from a true italian, this food would not be served to prisoners in italy! The quality of the food is poor and not authentic, the service was very bad. For the prices my italian friends and I were extremely disappointed...they need to study true cucina italiana! Viva Italia!

After our experience at Giuseppe's we will never be back. Our group did all the work and the "server" and "manager" could have easily been replaced by a monkey. Do yourself a favor, the place is off the beaten path for a reason....stay away!!!

If any Italian restaurant deserves a five star rating it is this restaurant. We had our small church dining group meet and we each had a different entree. All were superb! The service was impeccable and atmosphere delightful. This was my second visit and I will continue to eat and recommend Giusppe’s to all my friends. As far as that reviewer that gave one star, maybe they would be happier at a fast food place.

My mother and I decided to eat at Giuseppe's one time...and had a terrible experience. We waited 20 minutes for a server when there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. Once we got our meal, our server never came back to check on us or offer us a refill. Then, we waited almost an hour for our bill. Our server was missing in action. Once WE tracked down our server, he did not even offer an apology. Pathetic. NEVER going back.

My favorite restaurant on the planet! The service is impeccable and the food fantastic. Great romantic getaway or great place to take friends.
