6. Yamamoto Japanese Grill & Sushi

I am a traditional diner and did no like this restauurant. The cut of meat was overrated an extreemly expensive. The menues are lacking infomation and are hard to understand. I had 6 on my tab with an avg of 25.00 a plate. resturant charges seperatly for rice and placed a 18% tip on my bill.. Will never return. would much rather have spent 190.00 at malones or 50.00 at wok and go.. dont waste time or money...

I travel for a living, and Japanese cuisine, GOOD Japanese is not available in my hometown so I try to frequent Jpanese restaurants when on the road. I went here with the intent of ordering sushi, but after looking at the quality of the fish I decided on tempura. The fish was stale, lacked proper color and clearly not fresh. The interior is dimly lit (I wonder why?) and smells of deep-fried grease. Even my tempura was off; it was more of deep-fried shrimp than tempura which should be delicate, light and non-greasy. If you have had susho here, you have not had sushi. Go to a place where your sushi meal will coast $50 to $100 cause the chef shops every day for only the freshest fish and you will have had sushi!

The sushi here is great. And the sushi chefs are a lot of fun to talk to. I go here a lot!
