This palace lies in the shadows of Lincoln Cathedral and is considered one of the most impressive Bishop's homes in England. The impressive vaulted undercroft in the East Hall, the entrance tower, and the chapel make this medieval building worth a visit. Great views of the city are an added bonus. Now part of the English Heritage organization, there is a new visitor center and garden and you can take guided tours. It's also a good place for a picnic.
