This massive structure was built in 1068 at the request of William the Conqueror. Take a guided tour of the grounds, which takes you along the medieval walls, around the spectacular grounds, and up into tall towers with views of the rolling countryside. You'll even get a peek at the Victorian prison on the grounds, complete with cell for solitary confinement. Don't miss the biggest draw, one of four surviving original copies of the Magna Carta, signed and sealed by King John in 1215.   (© 10Best)
