This is a favorite for top-notch British cooking, having won numerous awards and distinctions over the years. On the way up Steep Hill toward the castle, this pub-style restaurant serves great meals all day, including a hearty English breakfast. So popular that it had to expand into the building next door, the cozy series of dining rooms makes you feel at home, and the classic, seasonal menu includes everything from fish and chips to upscale seafood and beef dishes.
