Originally built in 1836 as the first capitol, this is the oldest standing capitol building west of the Mississippi. You may remember it as the location in which President Bill Clinton delivered his 1992 and 1996 election victory speeches. Recipient of National Historic Landmark status in 1997, it is a beautiful reflection of a bygone era.
