In 1888, W.H. Lever chose this area to further expand his thriving soap business, transforming the land into the charming garden village of Port Sunlight, which was named after Lever's popular Sunlight soap. The Heritage Centre chronicles the village's history via documentary and a wide range of exhibits and period artifacts. It is also host to attractions such as the Lady Lever Art Gallery. Guided tours can be booked in advance.   (© 10Best)
