5. Llandudno Pier

This ornate pier is a popular place for visitors and locals to spend a leisurely afternoon. Small huts and kiosks along the way offer souvenirs and snacks, and there are also some children's rides and a lively arcade. From the pier, you get an incredible panoramic view of the promenade, seafront, the Great Orme, and the beautiful pale green ocean. The pier was voted "Pier of the Year 2005" by the National Piers Society.   (© 10Best)
