The Buzz -- National celebration marks the formation of the Dominion of Canada on July 1. The annual occasion is much like Independence Day in the US and includes comparable events and celebrations. Visitors to London can enjoy a traditional Dominion Day celebration at the Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Events at Fanshawe to mark the country’s independence from England include historic speeches, patriotic songs and traditional food and drink from the mid-19th century.
