The Buzz -- Annual event held each September draws participants and spectators from cities and towns for this fair, Canada's seventh largest. Much like county fairs in the US, the event includes exhibitions, competitions, food, family fun and live entertainment throughout its run. The ever-growing itinerary of events for the 10-day celebration grows each year. The first Western Fair was held in 1868 and continues to be one of the most popular events in the region and around the country each year.
