5. Kensington Gardens

KENSINGTON.   A vast, rolling space, this popular park features well-maintained sidewalks for runners, walkers and rollerbladers; fields full of soccer players; and plenty of room for relaxed lounging. The park also has several art galleries on the grounds, a statue of Peter Pan (his creator lived nearby), the Round Pond, elaborate sunken gardens, and of course, Kensington Palace.
