KNIGHTSBRIDGE. This top-of-the line hotel offers modern, luxurious decor and certainly the finest rooftop swimming pool in the city. When it's warm and sunny (a rare treat), the covered pool area is opened up. The restaurant, Vong, offers the finest fusion cuisine in London, and suites have superb touches, such as private gardens and saunas. MAYFAIR. This Mayfair favorite with an elegant brick façade and abundance of fresh flowers is more like a luxury home than a typical hotel. The best of everything is here, from Wedgwood china to fine crystal and expensive antique furniture. The drawing room is a visual feast, and the Connaught restaurant offers excellent fine dining. Rooms are tasteful and sumptuous with amenities such as marble fireplaces, fine linens, gilt-trimmed mirrors, and sophisticated baths. The staff is known for being well trained and readily available. Everything you need and more is here on nine floors, including a fantastic concierge service with separate theater desk. The glamorous set flocks here for tasteful decor and spot-on service. Rooms are impeccably maintained and include lots of chintz, fine fabrics, modern electronics, spacious desks with American plugs and dataports, and windowed balconies.
