COVENT GARDEN.   The Forge's proximity to the neighborhood's many theaters makes it a great pre-show option, especially when a convivial mood, fine wines and flawless modern European dishes are what you desire. Classic decor gives the space a sophistitcated, romantic touch, and the place can easily help you make a good first impression. Try smoked haddock on parsnip tabouleh, or Oxfordshire beef fillet roasted in bone marrow with bordelaise sauce; finish with Kent rhubarb soufflé with vanilla ice cream.
