CHELSEA.   Chelsea first leapt to prominence in the '60s, thanks to designer boutiques and trend-seeking shoppers. That aspect continues, and the neighborhood remains well-to-do, but antique shops and home decor venues have now been added to the mix. King's Road ; once a private road for King Charles II ; is the main thoroughfare, lined with boutiques, cafes and other upscale establishments. Although shopping is top-notch, don't neglect the people-watching opportunities. There's always plenty to see. TUBE: Sloane Square or South Kensington   (© 10Best)

Chelsea is where well-healed 20 and 30 somethings go to spend their time and money. Prada and Gucci adorn the beautiful people who walk the Kings Road (the road which runs through the middle of Chelsea), and exotic perfumes waft through boutique after boutique. If you want to watch the world go by, purchase some clothes, and eat or drink on the sidewalk. This is the place to be.
