Derry's seaside location has always been in an important factor in the city's growth and history. Located in the former Port and Harbour Commissioner's Office, the Harbour Museum includes exhibits that focus on the city's maritime history from the World War II-era to the city's role in overseas shipping and trade. Look out for the Iona Curragh, a 30-foot vessel built in 1963. It reenacted the journey made by St. Columba (also known as Colmcille and one of Ireland's most revered saints) to Iona in the 6th century.
