This small interpretive centre honors the famous pilot, who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Interestingly, Paris, not Derry, was her true destination. However, she mistook the Northwest Ireland town for the City of Lights and landed just north of here, in Ballyarnette, on 21 May 1932. The tour includes a visit to the site of her touch-down.
