GREAT NECK.   One of the best reasons to visit Great Neck is Burton & Doyle, whose spacious, upscale digs invite folks to gather with friends and family for some of LI's most superbly done slabs of red meat. The dining room is dressed in old-fashioned, Gatsby style: muted lighting, dark mahogany, and comfortable leather. Without question, steaks are the headliners, and diners get to choose from porterhouses, sirloins, filets, and veal – all the most choice cuts. Food is ok. Staff is rude. There are plenty other steak restaurant to choose from.

I've eaten at many of the so-called good steakhouses. This one is even better. If you want the "gold standard" for filet mignon, try it here! Very polished ambience as well, in contrast to the dressed-down atmosphere of other big-name steakhouses.

This was the worst steakhouse I have ever been to. The food was cold and the service was so poor I didn't stay for dessert.
