Yes, there are shopping centers and malls like Americana Manhasset and Roosevelt Field in Garden City. If you really want to get out and shop like a Long Islander, though, try visiting the charming retail districts of Stoney Brook Village and Oyster Bay, where the Main Streets are pedestrian friendly and the shops are decidedly high-end.
