MASSAPEQUA.   Billed as the area's "Home of Southern Food and Moonshine," this down-home restaurant brings a bit of the bayou to Long Island. Colored lights, plank-wood walls, and jazzy photos and posters give the place the look and feel of a Bourbon Street brasserie. Menu highlights include blackened steak, pan-fried catfish with mushroom-scallion cream sauce, and the intimidating Pete's Pit BBQ Combo: pulled pork, beef brisket, and andouille sausage with sour cream and chipotle salsa. Big Daddy's is a local fav in the neighb'!! We ALWAYS have a great time - the food is amazing and the Hurricanes are to die for!!
