This place has dual personalities and I love it. If you can make it on a night when there is a live salsa band, do it!!! Downstairs has the salsa and it is a much more relaxed and fun vibe. The crowd downstairs is also a little bit older than upstairs so you will notice a more friendly group... The men have no problem asking a girl to dance and it doesnt give you that creepy feeling like he is trying to take you home. They just want to dance! (most men, anyway, lol). Upstairs the the typical club vibe... It has a younger crowd, hip-hop music and barely any room to dance. If that is your thing, you'll enjoy it. If you like both types of crowds, this is the perfect place to go.
