PASADENA.   Boasting a Californian menu with French touches, this Art Deco-style eatery is a favorite with Pasadena's movers and shakers. Entrees may include grilled Aussie rack of lamb with potato and gruyere flan, sautéed John Dory with heirloom tomatoes and soufflé potatoes, and roasted duck with Thai green curry. Desserts are worth every calorie – try chocolate praline gateau or a beautiful sour cream lime tart. A restaurant that has fabulous food but a poor attitude is worthless. We left the restaurant recently after waiting 30 minutes with an 8 p.m. reservation. The staff at the front end were rude and arrogant and could care less about the reservation and were seating walk ins ahead of us. I have crossed this restaurant off my list and I work for a statewide association and have numerous lunch meetings. I was unimpressed with their attitude. There are other fine restaurants with wonderful staff in Pasadena.
