CHINATOWN.   This popular Chinese cuisine palace is a favorite of locals and celebrities and is known for its excellent Szechwan menu. The delectable slippery shrimp are the most popular menu option, but you'll do well with most anything. Great prices.   (© 10Best)

All the food is great, but the slippery shrimp is to die for. Good old-fashioned funky Chinatown dining: nobody in L.A. does it better.
