7. Trattoria Tre Venezie

Overpriced mediocre food. Some great but hugely expensive wines on the list. Question: WHY does the price of a bottle of wine have to be 2 or 3 times what it costs at a wine shop? Ever heard of a "fair" mark-up?

The server was a star! The antipasto salmon was a delight. The special, Mung fish, was tasteless and served at substandard temperature. The Venison was a disaster. One could get a better pot roast at Clifton's Cafeteria. The reduction sauce was bland and better expected at grandma's Sunday dinner table. The wine list was extensive, expensive, and offered some fine vintages.
