About 10Best's Los Angeles Shopping Selections:
Los Angeles is known for its to-die-for shopping scene, thanks in great part to Hollywood stars who always need the latest and greatest. Shopping districts are many, and trendy, upscale boutiques seem to be around ever corner. Savvy shoppers make the most of the city by planning before they indulge in retail therapy. If money is truly no concern, then stroll through the ultra-posh shops on Rodeo Drive, which is within the Golden Triangle (bordered by Santa Monica Boulevard, Wilshire Boulevard, and Canon Drive). Famous site of Julia Roberts' triumphant Pretty Woman shopping spree, the venerated street boasts the finest retailers – Cartier, Gucci, and Tiffany among them. Well-heeled hipsters prefer Robertson Boulevard (between Beverly Boulevard and Third Street). Impossibly cool clothing, makeup, and home decor shops line the street, including celebrity fave Kitson Boutique. Melrose Avenue (between San Vicente Boulevard and La Brea Avenue) caters to the same crowd; check out Von Dutch and Agent Provocateur. In the market for antiques? Check out Third Street (between La Cienega Boulevard and La Brea Avenue), a funky, eclectic area known for unique gift and specialty stores. While the sheer multitude of attractive boutiques and stores in LA is staggering – and most of them are exclusive, upscale, and one-off to boot – just focus on a few must-have items in your price range for a relaxed day of hitting the shops!

I was in LA visiting from Australia, and I walked into this place and I said: "I wish this was my wardrobe". Anyways, the shop had a great selection of men's designer brands and the girls behind the counter were super nice. Totally top shop!

The only store of its kind on the Eastside, will feature a wide variety of artist-made merchandise, including jewelry and other personal accessories, postcards, wallets, card holders, passport covers, buttons, pins, t-shirts, limited-edition prints, and miniature paintings and other artworks,” said Zara Zeitountsian, proprietor of the new store and Black Maria Gallery next door. “All those who are left cold by the mass-production stuff found in the mall, will be thrilled to discover Under the Table.” Children, too, will find much to be delighted about here. The store will offer artist-made t-shirts, dolls, and extraordinary children’s books, many imported from Europe, such as pop-up volumes. Under the Table will also carry hard-to-find products such as zines, art periodicals, vinyl collectible toys, unusual books and comics. Another area of specialty will be the re-issues of vinyl records and CDs, chiefly from the catalogs of Dionysus Records and Sympathy for the Records Industry. Unavailable anywhere else, the albums feature the works of artists such as Shag, Mark Ryden, Coop, Andrew Brandou, Camille Rose Garcia, Winston Smith, Tom Neely, Lisa Petrucci, Tiki Tony, and Japan’s Rockin Jellybean.
