CABO SAN LUCAS. From about November to March, several species of whales migrate from Arctic waters to the warmer climes of the Pacific, and you can often see them from the shores of Los Cabos (bring binoculars for a better view). Frequently sighted species include blue, gray, sperm, humpback and fin whales – sometimes you'll see just their fins, other times you can catch sight of them breaching. There are numerous local companies that take visitors out for a closer look, either by boat or by aircraft. Most boat trips last around four hours and cost about MXN500-650 per person.
