SAN JOSE DEL CABO.   Robert Trent Jones, Jr., designed this challenging course to test expert golfers, but intermediate players also enjoy the challenge and spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez. The par-72 course is 6,945 yards long. Its most famous holes are the 12th and the 14th, which sits right on the beach. The course became famous in 1996, when camera crews capturing the senior slam golf tournament got background footage of frolicking whales.   (© 10Best)
