9. Todos Santos

TODOS SANTOS.   Be sure to take a day trip to this thriving village, 42 miles north of Cabo. As you near Todos Santos, the deserts surrounding Cabo give way to green trees and lush grass. Worthwhile stops include the Jesuit mission, built in 1733 and still a perfect example of the architecture of the times. The town's reputation as an artist's haven is reinforced by its large number of galleries which showcase the creative efforts of numerous residents – sculpture, paintings and drawings, metalwork, ceramics and more are plentiful and make great mementos of your time in Mexico. There are also numerous restaurants and cafes where you can partake of a tasty meal, as well as hot dog and taco vendors where the food is as inexpensive as it is quick and filling.   (© 10Best)
