The Buzz -- St. James, the patron saint of Spain, is also acknowledged as the saint who introduced Catholicism to Mexico. Much revered by the Mexican people, his special day is celebrated with a lavish parade where riders on white horses represent the saint. Battle reenactments often take place around the city squares, and a lively street party follows. |
