4. El Tapanco at Casa del Mar

CORRIDOR.   This romantic spot at the Casa del Mar resort boasts amazing views, especially from the terrace. Seafood, prepared with Mexican pizzazz, is the specialty, although there are additional options such as steaks and rack of lamb that are equally tasty. Among the starters, soups are especially good: try the Baja Bouillabaisse brimming with seafood in a saffron broth, or traditional tortilla soup topped with avocado, queso fresco and guajillo chiles. The menu changes frequently, but standout main courses have included cascabel chile crusted sea bass, and seared king scallops with cuitlacoche risotto and epazote beurre blanc.
