6. Mi Casa de Mariscos

CABO SAN LUCAS.   Another endeavor from the creators of Peacock's and Mi Casa, this seafood house highlights the creative cuisine of coastal Mexico. With a full bar, a gorgeous courtyard, and live music after 8pm, the two-level space gets lively once the sun sets, but for lunch or an earlier dinner it's well-suited for families. Foodwise, this is your chance to try something a little different. The menu is incredible, with traditional dishes you won't find anywhere else: "Las Buenisimas de Callo con Cuitlacoche," a black cuitlacoche mushroom spread on a crispy tortilla with fried scallops, coriander and Mexican relish; "Pozole de Mariscos," an authentic seafood stew; and "Aguachiles," Mexican-style sashimi marinated with lemon juice, cilantro and green chiles.
