8. Plaza Mijares

SAN JOSE DEL CABO.   Part of learning a Mexican town involves visiting its main plaza and soaking up the ambiance. San Jose del Cabo's historic square doesn't disappoint. At the center is a quaint, wrought-iron gazebo with green benches for relaxing. On the square's western side is Iglesia San Jose, a replica of the Jesuit mission built in 1730. The beautiful building is covered with mosaics. On all other sides, family-run shops and restaurants surround the plaza.   (© 10Best)
