3. Falls of the Ohio State Park

The falls boast the only naturally exposed fossil beds in the entire 981-mile Ohio River. The inspiration for much of John James Audubon's work, the 220 acres of land are inhabited by more than 125 species of fish and 265 bird species. Visitors can enjoy hiking and picnicking in the park; the views from the Interpretive Center are awesome.   (© 10Best)
