7. Firehouse Cook-Off & BBQ Festival

The Buzz -- Free Admission to the Easter Seals Firehouse Cook-off & BBQ Festival, August 1, 2009 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. at 9810 Bluegrass Parkway (rain date August 2). Event includes entertainment, BBQ Contest, inflatables, games for all ages, arts & craft booths, fire/safety/health booths, food, beverages and free speech/language and occupational therapy screenings for children and information about assistive hearing devices and hearing loss for adults. Firefighters will provide free cookies for children and have fire equipment at the event plus participate in a firefighter competition. All the proceeds from this event will be used to provide essential media rehabilitation to children treated at our center.
