You smell the bread before you even walk in the door of this friendly neighborhood bistro. Husband-and-wife Bob Hancock and Kit Garrett bake up to 1000 loaves of artisanal bread a day. For a true breakfast treat, try the poached free-range eggs on toasted levain with prosciutto. I agree, the waiters are pretentious and snobby. Otherwise the food (both breakfast and lunch) is excellent!

For the best lunch in Louisville this is the place to go. The menu is varied and service is excellent. Quality never fades!
