Set in a former saloon and watched over by its amiable Irish owner, The Irish Rover has an eminently engaging atmosphere and is a center of local sociability. That's a plus, but the menu is also a boon, plying folks with a host of authentic fare. Start with Scotch eggs or cheese-and-chive fritters, and then consider smoked salmon and potato gratin, Guinness beef stew, leek and mushroom quiche, fish and chips, cottage pie, or bangers and mash. Guinness and Smithwick's come from the source, and Saturday brunch includes a traditional Irish breakfast that ably satisfies purists and ex-pats.   (© 10Best)

this place is like an irish cheers. the amiable owner will regale you with some fine stories if he gets a break from his busy schedual of running two fine restaurants. if your lucky and are in the restaurant late in the evening you might talk michael into playing the pogues on the restaurant sound system.

The Irish Rover is a great place to go with friends and have a relaxing night out on the town. I personally enjoy going there with my friends as often as i can. They have a really great pub area, and a great dining room area. They do offer outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The Irish Rover offers seasonal menus, along with their standard selections.
