7. Maison des Avocats

Formerly known as the Croix d'Or inn, the hotel was established in 1471 to house merchants who came to Lyon for the four trade fairs held every year. Built to accommodate a large number of merchants, the hotel grounds have stables and warehouses that were used during their stay. The house also has an incredible three-story gallery that is simply spectacular. Notice the massive pillars that support the semi-circular arches on the ground floor. METRO: Vieux Lyon   (© 10Best)
