The Hôtel Bullioud was built by Philibert Delorme, one of the greatest architects of the Renaissance period. Designed by Delorme in 1536, this mansion is a true architectural wonder. Delorme was charged with the task of joining the two apartments within the confines of the preexisting architecture. Note the coat of arms that decorates the well in the first courtyard and see also how Delorme added an odd combination of Doric and Ionic motifs in the mansion.
