Formerly used as Lyon's meat market and slaughterhouse, this 4.3-acre hall is now used for cultural events and trade shows. The steel-supported roof is covered by glass and offers perfect natural lighting. Designed by architect Tony Garnier in 1906, the hall actually has no inside support, so the entire inside is unobstructed. The hall was even used in World War I as a temporary arsenal.
