8. Ocmulgee National Monument and Museum

Ocmulgee is an archeological site which has temple "mounds" from a Southeastern American Indian culture which lived here 1000+ years ago. There is a museum and shop (selling American Indian art and jewelry, among other items). Plan to spend about 1.5 hours depending on the sites you wish to see and climb.
