9. The Admiralty

DOWNTOWN.   At this hotel dining room, views of Lake Mendota through expansive windows are some of the best in town. A slightly formal ambience hints at attentive service and appealing cuisine, especially at breakfast and brunch. The former features Belgian waffles, French toast, eggs Benedict, omelets, pancakes, corned beef hash, and other lighter fare. The latter, a veritable weekend bonanza, adds in salads, fruit, desserts, fresh seafood, and hot entrees. Presentation is lovely, and the event is one to be savored leisurely.   (© 10Best)

Food was below average, but very expensive. I will never go here again and would recommend if you stay at the Edgewater, which is otherwise pretty decent, that you make the effort to leave and eat somewhere else.
