7. Ella's Deli

EAST.   Much-loved by children, this whimsical eatery mesmerizes young and old alike with its displays of vintage toys, suspended collectibles, and animated figures. There's even a merry-go-round out front that has all the kids clamoring for a ride from spring to early fall. The menu leans heavily towards sandwiches, soups, and other kid-friendly fare, and the signature ice cream is fantastic – cold, creamy, and homemade. this place was great!!!! just left there dec 1 2007 for lunch and the food was lotsa lotsa lotsa! fried pickles were super! ambieance so fun, yes check this place out!

I discovered Ella's Deli many years ago on a trip through Wisconsin. Ever since then I have stopped at Ella's every time I have occasion to be in the Madison area. I have, on occasion, scheduled trips in such a way that a trip to Ella's would be possible.
