4. PhotoEspaña

The Buzz -- This international festival of photography and visual arts has been held in Madrid each summer since 1998. The exhibitions – always centered around a theme, such as Nature or History – are held in galleries, museums, cultural centers and even in the open air. They showcase new trends in the ever-developing world of photography, from up-and-coming artists, established professionals and burnished legends. Henri Cartier-Bresson, Paul Graham, Michael Ackerman, Nan Goldin, Helmut Newton and Christine Spengler have all featured in recent years. A series of parallel activities include Campus PHE with workshops and seminars, and Cine PHE with films, projections and video projects.
