Although it's open all day, this charming bar-café is best after dark. Savor a glass of vermouth or a coffee, while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere and old-fashioned décor. The swirling ceiling fans, low lighting and soft classical music make for a welcome break from all the techno and neon of Madrid's nightlife. But the real reason to go to Café del Nuncio is the wonderful terrace: set on a stepped slope, it divides the two halves of this rather uniquely laid-out establishment.
