El Sol

Address: Calle Jardines, 3, Madrid 28013

El Sol sponsors more than 25 concerts a month, but the fun is just beginning! The atmosphere is lively without succumbing to designer-bar trendiness. Strut your stuff to the funk, hip-hop, and acid jazz that rock this disco club early into the morning. Dancers should plan to stay out all night. METRO: Gran Vía

Joy Eslava

Address: Calle de Arenal, 11, Madrid 28013

User rating: User Rating and Review ( Rate It! )

Joy Eslava is frequented by models and musicians alike. The cover charge may be a little expensive, but hipsters consider it worthwhile. Dance 'til dawn to Spanish chart hits and the odd bit of flamenco. METRO: Puerta del Sol

Kapital

Address: Calle de Atocha, 125, Madrid 28012

User rating: User Rating and Review ( Rate It! )

METRO: ATOCHA
Kapital stacks seven parties onto as many floors. Two disco levels keep the tunes thumping and crowds gyrating, while the karaoke bar caters to crooners. Kapital's the liberal sort of venue where anything goes – except sneakers, which won't make it past the velvet rope.

Pachá

Address: Calle de Barceló, 11, Madrid, ES 28004

This rocking discothèque is a great place to hang out with the locals during the week and blend in with the tourists on the weekends. A steady stream of people with whom to talk or dance. Constant beat of music, and the dance floors are always packed.

The three-story building features spaces for sitting and chatting, a long bar, pool tables and a dance floor. The DJ plays a mix of Spanish hits, Latin music and funk. Overall, it's trendy, trendy, trendy: dress accordingly. METRO: Alonso Martínez
