8. The Deli Room

The supermarket style Deli Room is one of the very few shops in Madrid that specializes exclusively in Spanish designers. With clean lines, stainless steel counters, weighing scales and strip lighting, this striking boutique presents fashion as something to be consumed as easily as a tub of coleslaw. Names like Locking Shocking, Miriam Ocáriz, Ailanto, Spastor, Jin Sun Park and La Casita de Wendy are just some of the firms on display. On the right are some of the better-known names, while to the left is the area devoted to up-and-coming designers. In the middle stands a rack of fabulously funky T-shirts.
