7. Jewell & the Beanstalk

Wonderful restaurant. Not afraid to dazzle with daring new items. A refreshing place to dine and be among friends is how the staff makes you feel. When you're in Jewel and the Beanstalk you're home. I would have over eaten just to stay there a little while longer (and because the food was delicious).

Breakfast is what the Beanstalk does best in my opinion, I have yet to finish any of the servings I have had there to date, and I'm a big guy! Amber also bakes the best muffins and cookies in town, and it's the only place I can find on the East Coast (USA) that serves Australian meat pies and sausage rolls on occassions... mmmm!!!! The staff are second to none and in my opinion, are the friendliest and most helpful wait staff in Manchester. Get in early as the secret is starting to get out, I used to amble in around 9.00am on a Sunday now I make sure I get in there early around 7.45am. Excellent coffee as well!!!! Would suggest to anyone wanting to try something a little more relaxed for breakfast and or snacks or lunch. Best pork pie in NE... Excellent value for the money!!

A great place to go and hang out either with family or friends. Great fresh food, cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff.

Jewell and the Beanstalk is a bohemian but friendly neighborhood place. All the food has the homemade-from-mom's kitchen quality, and you can find eclectic menu items that are rarely found in Manchester's steak, pizza and sub landscape. Amber is a great cook and very friendly. Try the baby spinach salad and the apple turkey soup.
